Located on the second floor of Sparta’s historic
Masonic Temple on the corner of Court and Main Streets
the museum is only 3 minutes from l-90 and
within walking distance to several restaurants, antique stores
and specialty shops
The Museum is a Progression of Transportation
from the first bicycles, the Wright Brothers’ Bicycle Shop,
and the Wright Flyer, exploring Monroe County’s rich aviation history,
and into outer space with Mercury 7, Astronaut Donald Kent “Deke” Slayton
